According to Clarion University undergraduate catalog data, Rena Carlson was an associate professor and head librarian at Clarion, from 1929-1963. She earned her A.B. and B.A. from Greenville College. She did undergraduate and graduate work at various institutions, including Carnegie Library School of Pittsburgh; Carnegie Institute of Technology; University of Southern California; and University of Michigan, earning her B.S., B.S.L.S., M.A., and M.A.L.S.
