This subseries includes papers authored by Crawford along with any identifiable associated research notes. Writings include research papers that he submitted for courses he took, as well as several drafts and final copies of his publication, "The Scots and the American Revolution: A Reappraisal." Crawford also presented this work as a paper at the Scottish Heritage Symposium at St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, NC on March 25, 2000 under the title, "An Overview and Reappraisal of Scots and the American Revolution." (Crawford’s draft that he appears to have used to make his presentation is available in this subseries in folder 12)
