Scope and Contents
Note: There is also a piece of correspondence in the folder titled, "The American and The Frenchman, Folder 2, 1955," found in the "Gilbert Neiman Writings / Publications" sub-series. That correspondence is to Neiman from Byron R. Bryant of "Pacifica Foundation" regarding publishing.
Note: There is also a piece of correspondence in the folder titled, "Essays - Artists," found in the "Other Papers" sub-series. That correspondence is a hand-written letter from an unknown author (cannot make out the signature line,) postmarked 1946-04-03. Neiman's address listed as Anderson Creek, Big Sur, California. Return address listed as 320 Hawthorne, Monterey. The letter is from an artist thanking Neiman for something that he wrote about his/her paintings.
