This subseries contains many of Crawford’s typed and hand-written lecture notes and outlines. Crawford had many of these materials arranged in labeled folders. Crawford’s folder headings have been retained, when available.

This subseries consists mainly of bibliographies and reading lists that Crawford used for the courses that he taught, but some appear to be citations that he collected for his own research on Scottish-American history, or reading lists from courses that he took.

Scope and Contents This subseries contains outlines and notes for a speech Crawford gave on the subject of Puritans. Those interested in Crawford’s speeches should also see folder 12 in Subseries 1; Subseries 5. This Subseries contains blank exams that Crawford administered in the various courses that he taught. Answer keys are included for some of the exams. Crawford had many of these materials arranged in labeled folders. Crawford’s folder headings have been retained, when available, although the contents of some of the folders do not seem to match with the folder title. These discrepancies have been retained.
