According to university undergraduate course catalog data, Dan Graves was employed at Clarion University from 1965 until 1981 as the head librarian / library director. He earned an A.B.A. from the University of Denver and completed additional graduate study at the University of Michigan.

The reference department keeps annual statistics concerning the number and type of reference transactions / reference questions completed, and the number of library instruction / bibliographic instruction/ information literacy classes taught.  Basic interlibrary loan statistics are included in the early reports.
