The entire book is not present. There is only a copy of the cover page reading "Songs of Clarion Compiled by Paul E. Beck 1922" and a copy of the lyrics of the song "The Purple and the Gold", which was a poem by Bertha V. Nair with music by Nancy E. Canan. Only the lyrics are present; not the music.

Also included are copies of the words to "The Purple and the Gold" from the 1931 Sequelle yearbook.
