It is believed that most of the materials in this series were transferred to the archives by Stanley F. Michalski upon his retirement. According to the Clarion University marching band's web page as of 3/4/2016, "Dr. Stanley Michalski Jr. was hired in 1961 and directed the band for 31 years until his retirement in 1992."
