Among the materials in this folder is:

-A single page of biographical information about Rena Carlson, which reads as follows:

"Rena M. Carlson, Librarian Emeritus of Clarion State College, is a native of Pennsylvania, having been born in Simpson, McKean County. She was graduated from Sheffield High School and from Greenville College, Greenville, Illinois with an A.B. degree. Her library training was received at Carnegie Library School of Carnegie Institute of Technology, now the University of Pittsburgh Graduate Library School, and at the University of Michigan Library School where she received the A.M.L.S. degree. Before coming to Clarion in 1929 Miss Carlson taught high school classes for three years, was librarian in Reading High Schools for three years and at Wagner Junior High School in Philadelphia for one year. Miss Carlson served as librarian of the college under three administrations. Dr. G.C.L. Riemer was president from 1927-1937, Dr. Paul G. Chandler 1937-1960, and Dr. James Gemmell 1960-. Dr. Riemer saw the need for a library in the Laboratory School and this was established by Miiss Carlson in 1931. Under Dr. Chandler's administration plans for the new library were made. Under Dr. Gemmell's administration the Venango Campus was started and a library organized in this new branch. The new library on the college campus was completed and occupied in January 1963. Rena M. Carlson retired from her duties as college librarian in August 1963. She continues to reside in an apartment at 77 Seventh Avenue, Clarion. She engages in her special hobbies of traveling and amateur photography, as well as in community and church activities."

-A December 3, 1958 letter to Rena Carlson from a representative from the Commonwealth National Library, Canberra (Australia). The letter appears to be in reference to library space planning.

Winter 1949 booklet titled, "The Lamont Library" by Henry R. Shepley and Keyes D. Metcalf

A type-written card containing "Lamont Statistics."

It appears that these materials may have been collected by Carlson as part of a building / construction planning project.
