All departments of the College are represented in the membership. Auditions for membership in the College Bands are held each September. The Clarion State College Bands are involved in a full schedule of activities. The various units perform for pre-game and half-time shows at each football game, provide music for community events, and present formal concerts. Other performances by the College Bands include tours of the Commonwealth and appearances as guest band at festivals and special events. This recording of the Clarion State College Bands brings you a small portion of the quality, enthusiasm and the balance which typifies Clarion State College. The Band organizations are closely related to the cultural atmosphere of Clarion State College. Most members have performed in all three organizations and many join in student-directed musical activities which provide additional friendship and which extend their musical experience on campus. We take pleasure in presenting this recording for your listening pleasure."
