Memorial Stadium's Inaugural Night Game
Page 1 says:
"Welcome to tonight's inaugural night game here at Memorial Stadium. Clarion played night football games in the 1930's & 40's at the former "Clarion Park," sometimes referred to as the "Old Fairgrounds." Those Fairgrounds were located almost in the identical spot as today's Memorial Stadium."
"Tonight's game also marks the first game on Clarion's new Sprinturf, a new generation artificial surface. The blade-like surfance is made of nylon fiber, while spread atop the surface and anchoring the turf are rubber-based pellets from the shredding of 30,000 tires. The lighting was done by Musco Lighting."
