Description of the organization found online 2-16-2021:

We are undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences and our goal is to help incoming freshman and transfer biology majors set and attain academic, career, personal and social goals by offering a peer perspective. As biology is a highly interdisciplinary field we seek to recruit mentors from all science departments including biology, math, chemistry, geosciences, and physics. Peer mentors currently hold weekly office hours to help students make four year plans, to discuss course content, and for assistance with course scheduling and registration. Additionally, biology peer mentors have assisted in retention and recruitment activities such as acting as facilitators in BIOL 105 Biology Freshman Seminar, tour guides and presenters for Biology Visit Day and student representatives at Admissions Open House events.
