Summary: The Council of Pennsylvania State College and University Library Directors was founded on October 24, 1962 when Dr. Charles Boehm called together the directors of the fourteen state college and university libraries. he requested the preparation of a set of library standards; this agreement was to occupy the directors until the standards were approved in April of 1965. From meeeting to meeting the Council developed procedures and standards for interlibrary cooperation.
